Bloom Vase

I started this little forgotten bird many months ago and decided to make her into a vase for flowers.  I will have to decide what glaze use, I don't want to loose the carved details.  In the meantime, I enjoying looking at her as she gazes out at the snow. 

More Clay

Began by creating the basic shape, adding clay and smoothing.  I may put on a back so it can hang on the wall, but needs more work on the face.

 A friend from Asheville came over last week to play in my studio.  We're both inspired by gargoyles (The Biltmore House has many perched about) Here is what I have so far.

Thanksgiving revisited

Timing is everything!  These happy turkeys came strolling through our yard this morning, seemingly oblivious to the upcoming holiday.  Looks like I forgot to post this in November, better late than never.
